Lady Grey's Lovelies are holding open auditions for creative, energetic and authentic performers with all levels of experience in various styles of vintage entertainment - including comedy, variety, magic, dance, music, burlesque, and more.  

1:00 pm - Hosts & Comedians
 

1:45 pm - Variety Performers
Please come prepared to demonstrate your art as a soloist. 

2:30 pm - Musicians
Please come prepared to perform. We do not have an accompanist or piano, so please bring an accompaniment track with you.

3:15 pm - Dancers (Dancers who Sing, Singers, who Move, Actors who Move)
No preparation needed for dancers. Just bring yourself, a bottle of water, and be ready to move. Please wear clothes that allow us to see you dance. Resumes and photos aren't necessary, but absolutely welcome! Bring all your dance shoes just in case (ballet, tap, jazz, character, whatever else you have!) If you do not have dance shoes, please go barefoot - street shoes aren't permitted on the studio floor.

Previous dance experience is highly recommended for the Lovelies, but anyone is welcome to audition. Some auditionees may be invited to be stage kittens (apprentices) and or swing performers.

All body types, genders, abilities, races and ethnicities are welcome! Must be over 18.

Lovelies live in NYC, Philadelphia, DC, Chicago and even State College, Pennsylvania. We are experienced performers, most of us singers/dancers/actors with a strong dance background. We like funny girls, frilly boys, and elegant in betweens.

 

We are excited to form a core group of dancers who can rehearse on an occasional Saturday (monthly?) in Philadelphia, DC, and/or State College. We have several bookings for this summer in NYC, Pittsburgh, and Richmond, VA... and we are hoping to apply to at least one more festival this year (TBD based on auditions). All of these are smaller shows, and we are very relaxed about making performances required.

We are proud to be a killer diller, bees knees, copasetic little group of lovelies that hosts a regular cabaret and has the sweetest taps from coast to coast. We LOVE vintage dance, Ella Fitzgerald, polka dots and fedoras. YOU BELONG WITH OUR FANTASTIC LITTLE FAMILY!!!
